Touch Rugby
Touch rugby is one of the most accessible and genuinely enjoyable formats in corporate sport. No contact, no specialist kit and no prior experience required, but enough real competition to make it matter. Our touch rugby events are hosted at professional and semi-professional rugby club grounds, which means your team isn’t turning up to a leisure centre car park. They are walking into a venue with history, atmosphere and the kind of credibility that makes the day feel like an occasion from the moment they arrive.
Our touch rugby events
The format
Each event brings together a group of companies for a competitive touch rugby tournament at a professional club ground. Teams of six to eight players compete through a structured group stage before the top teams progress to a knockout finale. The format is built to work for every ability, seasoned rugby players will enjoy the competition and complete beginners will find their feet quickly, often surprising themselves in the process. Games are fast, scoring is frequent and the format keeps everyone engaged throughout. No scrums, no lineouts, no tackles, just running, passing and a leaderboard that every company takes seriously by the time the semi-finals come around.
The networking layer
The venue does part of the work on its own, there is something about a professional rugby ground that puts people at ease and creates a shared experience from the first whistle. Fieldwork adds the structure around that. Every entering company receives a pre-event update introducing the other businesses in the room, and we facilitate curated introductions between companies on request before anyone has set foot on the pitch. On the day the schedule is designed around connection as much as competition, half-time breaks, hospitality and a post-tournament BBQ that gives people time and space to have real conversations. For companies looking to develop relationships, entertain clients or reward their teams, it is a day that does considerably more work than a standard event.
What Fieldwork manages
Everything. We work directly with our club partners to secure the venue, handle all corporate sales and team bookings, manage pre-event communications and deliver the full event on the day, referees, scoring, MC, hospitality coordination and post-event follow-up included. Your team arrives, registers and plays. We handle everything else. Each event includes a referee-led rules briefing for first-time players, a structured tournament with a live leaderboard, co-branded hospitality and a prize ceremony to close the day. We also issue a post-event summary to all attending companies within 48 hours, including standings, photographs and the option to request introductions to other businesses in the room. The standard is consistent because we set it that way before the first team arrives.
